Space = Experience
Space = Experience
I have been living life awhile. Shuffling through childhood satire, teen naivete and adult narrative, I have seen the best of the best and experienced the best of the worst. My early school years were hard, with off-road experiences, mingled with misplaced desires and lasting impact. Unable to complete my studies at what would have been the right time, I am now completing my school and am an under-graduate philosophy student.
Now as an adult learner I find that the curriculum I am studying, seems to be strangely familiar. And it is indeed. I find that what I am learning formally today, is what I had been experiencing in my life, whether it was rooted or on the move. Studying philosophy has provided an important opportunity to reflect and make sense of events, decisions and the direction I was taking. This is when the concept of Fundamental Space was born. The recognition of how you occupy space, the relationship of it with yourself, and with others; helped me to understand the impact of life events and their influence on my space. It has helped me make sense of how space has impacted relationships, careers and the environment in which I live.
To share an example, I have experienced the space of different careers, mainly due to the fact that I was trying to find my best fit, in terms of confidence, comfort and success. As I managed this process I acquired a range of skills that stand me in good stead today. Some of these skills are warehousing and transport, acting, filming, entertainment, management, consultancy, television studio management, biking, solo travel.
Today I manage my space with confidence. I feel alive and at ease with who I am and where I want to go.
This is what my workshop is designed to achieve for you too.
I have just completed my Bachelors in Philosophy (Major) I am 67. Yay!
